Connie will demonstrate how to tie together our Italic calligraphy and watercolor blooms, creating a reflection of the season around us. Connie’s loose and freeform style is a no-pressure approach suitable for all levels, but familiarity with the Italic hand is helpful.

This 3-session workshop will cover a lively variation of Italic; 2-3 different types of flowers and the painting techniques involved; and how to incorporate lettering with the floral images. Students will learn techniques to create contrast and visual interest.

The workshop will take place over the Zoom platform. Students will have the ability to post work to a Padlet page created for this workshop. Between class sessions, and for a week after the workshop concludes, Connie will review student work posted on Padlet.
