10 am to noon: The White House Calligraphers
Calligraphers who letter invitations, menus and award certificates for White House, State Department and other top-level events will show samples of their work, talk about their job, and demonstrate techniques.
Participants: Rick Paulus, Debra Brown, and Jennifer Kolls.

Noon to 2 pm: Washington’s Wedding Calligraphers
With unique invitations, elegant envelopes, and artistic accessories, they put the wow in weddings and other gala events. See samples from some top wedding calligraphers and watch as they letter with flourish and flair.
Participants: Pat Blair, Chris Tischer, and Jill Norvell.

2 to 4 pm: Calligraphy as Creative Expression
Lettering artists will demonstrate multiple techniques to put emotion behind the message, including lettering with brush and unconventional tools, contemporary letterforms, and color layering.
Participants: Michael Clark and Barbara Gere.
